LIFEST introduced ‘The Lilongwe Music
Festival’ which was hosted under the theme
‘Stepping into the world of responsibility
through music and lifestyle’ and
accommodated close to 6,000 people. The
festival was organized to raise awareness on
mental health and gender-based violence
prevention and the revenue that returned
from ticket sales was used to purchase land
for a rehabilitation centre which was the
other goal of the event .We had three
international artists who performed alongside
the local Malawian artists namely; Chris Martin
(Jamaica), Joe Boy (Nigeria) and Shekinah
(South Africa).
